Parish Draw 2024 – 2025 Week 15
We visited Camlin Credit Union this morning and this week’s numbers were drawn by staff members Patricia and Joanne.
Camlin Credit Union is in Crumlin Main Street and was established in 1989. One of the founding members was Very Rev. Sean McCartney, who was the Curate in the parish at that time. The early meetings took place in Mater Dei Parochial House, before the office was set up in the Main Street.
The credit union was started ‘by the people for the people’ of the area. The common bond for membership is geographical location, in the main membership takes in those located in BT29, some areas of BT28 and a few from BT67. There are 5 members of staff. All the Committee members and Directors are volunteers from the local community. New members and volunteers are always welcomed.
Patricia and Joanne selected the numbers for our winners of week 15, Gerard Doone Glenavy £500, Mary Nelson Ballinderry £100 and Brenda Morgan £50 Glenavy. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all the parishioners who continue to support the Parish Draw.
